“With all the transitions taking place in my life the sessions helped compartmentalize the areas that could be contained. I am able to accomplish more in a timely manner. Erin, not only did you help structure my filing system, you instilled in me a belief that I could do it with ease and grace.”
...and it's gone, gone, gone
Have you fallen out of love with your home? Do you remember when you decided to live here? Was it love at first sight? Did you dream of possibilities? Can you conjure up the hope you felt as you first walked through those empty rooms on moving day - ready to make them your own?
What happened?
For many of us, that first blush of love gets swept away by the stuff of life. We accumulate clutter, live with make-shift systems, learn to walk by chipped paint, put repairs on that "someday" list. In other words, we take our beloved space for granted, choosing to tolerate what "sort of" works.
What would it take to fall in love again? Like any good relationship, the one you have with your personal space requires time, attention and the commitment to discovering the very best it can be.
I invite you to choose one room - the one that really breaks your heart - the one that promised so much but delivered so little - and give it your love. First-name it. Choose a label that is juicy and delicious and speaks to you on an emotional level about how you truly want to experience this space. Then reclaim it. See what's in it, get rid of what you don't need or love, honor what remains by making room for what you value. Does the color light you up? Does the furniture support you? Does the room reflect your personality? Don't you feel better just stepping into this space?
See... you can bring back that lovin' feeling...so why not?
